Harry:

IMO the problem with most workers starts with our education system. They need to understand ultimately an employer pays for value. Many factors go into determining value but from what I've experienced many don't keep up with their education and their skills become outdated and the experience skill doesn't compensate.

Our "free" public education (of course property owners pay for this whether they have children in the system or not) and college liberal arts programs by and large don't teach the skills for yesterday's jobs, never mind today or tomorrows.

Skilled workers are still in demand. My defination of skilled doesn't include auto workers with a high school education installing seat belts in impallas (making US $60k with benefits).
