Am I correct in observing that the year end target of "$100 - $120 WCDMA handsets" being available, has now transmorphed into "E100 - E120 wholesale WCDMA handsets"? Does this represent backpedaling?

Well, he did say he was misquoted. If I heard his comment today correctly, he stated that WCDMA operators had indicated that the 100-120 euro pricepoint would allow the mid-tier of the GSM market to migrate to WCDMA. I'm not even sure that he gave a target date for that pricepoint.
