Hi jss...I bought Kimber just over 2 years ago and am holding it at a 22% gain. Guess I should have waited a year! Anyway...this is one that has always confounded me. They seem to be doing everything right and the market doesn't give a hoot. I am thinking it is just a perception lag, but maybe there is something else going on.

At any rate, I've met Robert Longe a few times and have always come away with the impression of a guy who is going about building shareholder value (or at least...doing the things that SHOULD build shareholder value) in a non-promotional, workmanlike fashion.

At this point, there's no exploration risk as the Carmen deposit is pretty well-defined by now (although I guess it is still expanding). I think there is a better than even chance that they will find more gold/silver on the Monterde property, given the success they've had poking around the Carmen area (Cocos and Cob). It's the kind of stock that I am comfortable just sticking in the back of the drawer and letting things take their course. I expect they will get taken out at some point, but they may need to prove up 2-3MM more ounces before that happens.

It's not the most exciting stock in the PF, but then again, I got plenty of those already. I must admit, I got a kick out of seeing KBX scroll across the bottom of the screen during one of the brief moments where I tuned in CNBC today (hardly ever watch it any more...why can't we get ROBtv down here?). I am hoping to catch up with them next week in Toronto and see what's going on. When I spoke to them last October, they were thinking that the stock would be trading at 3 very shortly, obviously that didn't happen, but I am sure it will...at some point.

Ivanhoe is another one that doesn't seem to get the recognition it should. I listened to their presentation at the BMO conference yesterday and they really have a juggernaut going there, but for some reason the market doesn't seem to take a shine to R. Friedland. That Oyu Tolgoi thang is just mind-boggling...

Cheers!

Paul
