Yes, Bernie is Bullish. He talks the Bearish talk, but his actions are bullish. Ultimately, Bernie is nothing more than a trend follower who advises that people still plough their money into small and midcap stocks (until they get burned). Then the trend changes, of course, and he rides that trend out.

The problem, with Bernie, like most trend followers, is that by the time he realizes that the trend has changed, his portfolio has gotten decimated. That's why maybe he has a poor record, as you say.
