Luckily we didn't have that silly law in NZ or I wouldn't have earned money and become a capitalist when I was 13. <Children are not to work at night. > I used to be up while nearly all adults were sound asleep, delivering newspapers. Others were delivering milk, starting earlier than me. Our offspring worked at night at the other end. Their choice.

<where conditions were often terrible > I experienced terrible conditions. Life's tough. I didn't have to do it. I could have got an easier job, with less money.

One can find free market capitalist competition in lemonade stands, oil companies [you can start a BP if you want to] and software design.

Of course they are all hobbled by state red tape and large tax drag, like barnacles on an America's Cup boat. But they all have barnacles, so it's more or less free.
