Lindy Bill, do you ever listen to NPR?

I would really appreciate your opinion on something.

I was listening to the radio, it was Saturday last, and when I turned it on the program was regarding the housing market, mortgages, etc. It was not interesting, so I changed to NPR. I thought it was "All Things Considered" but it wasn't it was regarding housing matters, did not catch the name of the program.

The first segment that I heard was interviewing this person, a man from the sound of his voice, who said it was very important to have ones home designed properly, for instance, one should sleep facing North, and if one did not do that, one would develop all sorts of problems, such as various cancers, etc., ie it would cause ill health so it was the most important design element in the home. It opened with the fact that there are underground streams, water pipes, utilities etc. that run under your house and make these currents that flow through the home. I believe they were electromagnetic currents, but not sure about that.

(I am going to make this dialogue and paraphrase as best I can remember.)

Moderator: Do you encountered people who have difficulties with this proposal, such as the north wall is not appropriate for the bed to be placed there.

Home Consultant: Oh, you better believe it. It happens a lot.

Mod: Well, what do you do?

HC: I ask them if maybe, they can sleep with their head at the foot of the bed or maybe sleep in the spare bedroom, etc.

Mod: So how do you determine which way is north? Do you carry a compass to figure it out or do you tell by the sky?

HC: Oh, I have been doing this so long I can do it blindfolded. I walk into a room and I can just sense immediately if it is situated properly. I just get this feeling.

Mod: So you do design work for homes, businesses, city planning or what.

HC: Yes, I do large and small projects.

Mod: Well, let me ask you this. In NYC, when the WTC was knocked down, it left this big gaping hole in the ground. Does that big hole interrupt the peaceful karma that existed there prior to them being removed? Does it cause any problems now that they are missing?

HC: Well, I try not to say too much about this as there are a lot of people who get very emotional about this, they have lost loved ones in that tragedy and what I am about to say can upset them, so I try to be very careful about what I say. But the plain fact is that those towers were an affront to nature from the very beginning and they were bound to fall down regardless of whether there was a terrorist attack. I am very sad to have to tell you this.

Mod: Well, Thank you very much. We have been talking to xxx xxxxxx who is a xxxx xxxxx . (Did not remember the name or credentials.) Coming up in our next segment, we are going to be talking to xxx xxxx who is a home designer and is going to talk to us about living in smaller spaces. He has designed homes that are half the size of the typical Japanese home, about 150 sq ft. He is going to show us how you can live just healthy with a much smaller footprint. He has lived in Japan, etc. and what with the population explosion we are going to have to live in smaller spaces and he is going to show us how to do it.

I listened to a bit of the next segment and it was not so interesting so I changed the station again.

Now, would you folks be so kind as to give me an honest opinion as to what you think of this piece?
