Wrong. Clinton was universally trusted around the world.
Reagan, Bush Sr., Carter and even Nixon were respected around the world. Only GW Bush is despised and distrusted.
He is a poor representative for the US. He gets an "F' Grade for diplomacy. He seems to only represent the Texas oil cartel. He only seems to give a damn about a few pet projects of his, like invading Iraq and handing over our ports to Dubai. Everything else he goes AWOL on. So when Condi Rice goes out there no one takes her very seriously. Everyone knows she's a yes-women willing to lie for GW.

Bush is not a typical American leader, he is a narrow-minded dishonest rightwing oil crony who has almost no international experience and is too lazy to learn anything new. despite the fact that his father is a true internationalist. Did you know GW had never even been outside the US except twice before he was elected presdient?

When Bush first came into power one of his first moves was to go to Europe and bluntly arrogantly boss everyone around as if he were a lobbyist for Big Oil and big polluters. He acted like he had a big mandate even though Gore got more votes and Bushies cheated in Florida to win.

Our allies were alarmed. They never trusted him again. That is the main reason they didn't join him in Iraq. And now they're glad they didn't. Except Tony Blair of course. God knows why he did what he did, maybe for a guarantee of oil for Britain. Also it was Britain which created Iraq after WWII. Iraq is an artificial country forced together by imperialist Brits.
