Vehicles powered by ethanol and ethanol-gas blends, which U.S. vehicle manufacturers are promoting this year, are not included. Those fuel options are covered in other tax provisions

Damn, Govt is screwing up again. Flex fuel vehicles are the only thing TODAY that makes sense. A STROKE OF THE PEN could require ALL newly manufactured vehicles to be flex fuel and it would cost the consumer VERY LITTLE. With that incentive more stations would become available. THIS is what they should be pushing full steam AT THIS TIME while better technology is developed over the next 25 years. No one I know is going to buy a battery operated vehicle that has to be recharged every 60 miles or so, especially with the cost of electricity going up every year. jdn
