That's interesting. I find it rarely happens. You must be watching me constantly to see it happen "often" in your opinion ("often" being, I suppose, a relative term), but I will say that the misstatements only seem to come from certain quarters, and I guess from those quarters one could say "often" if one wished.

I find specificity of words interesting, and not exhausting- that's why I post- it's enjoyable (unless of course one is personally attacked, because the personal is not quite so enjoyable, since it tends to involve malevolence). Since all we are here on SI is a collection of words, I think it's important to make sure the words people choose to attribute to one are correct.

If I understand you, you think having your opinion distorted is not a big deal, and something you would not pursue. I can't say I remember enough of your posts to know if this is consistent with your posts on SI since I have obviously not been watching you as closely as you have been watching me. Would you say you are not concerned when liberals misstate your positions? When, in fact, they completely fabricated something you have said you happily drop the matter? I'm finding it hard to believe you would let that go, considering your interest in this issue, which had nothing to do with you. (please note- I have said "If I understand you..."- since I would not want to misstate your position on this.

"The lietmotif of your collected "works" on SI seems to be
that your views are often, if not constantly, misstated.

Must be exhausting to be you."
