Why should Bush have been concerned about a little storm when the Mayor of New Orleans and the Governor of Louisiana didn't give a crap? At some point personal responsibility has to come into play. The president of the U.S. just doesn't have the ability to make sure that each and every one of us doesn't stub our toe and nor can he stop a hurricane. He's a powerful man, but not that powerful. At some point, the people affected by Katrina have to say to themselves "gee, maybe it isn't such a good idea to live below sea level in an area prone to hurricanes, and if I do, it ain't nobody's fault but my own if my furniture gets wet".
