Let's face it. With the mainstream media cowed, and the rightwing media attack dogs in full frenzy, anything done by the left will get attacked while the right skates relatively free. Just think about it. What if Clinton had:
- Started a major war against the wrong country in which almost 2,500 American troops died along with thousands of innocent civilians? Look at the grief he took for 19 troops in Somalia.
- Lied to the public about his knowledge of the severity of the biggest natural disaster in decades at the cost of possibly hundreds of American lives? Look at the grief he took for lying about a bj.
- Presided over one of the most corrupt administrations since Grant, with payoffs, secret deals, and money for media stories? Look at the grief he took for that 'huge' scandal - travelgate.
- Implemented economic policy that has lost the US millions of jobs, jobs that have gone to India and China, jobs that have been replaced by Walmart and other service jobs? Look at the grief Clinton took for NAFTA.
- Supported US policy that advocated prisoner torture, illegal foreign prisons, and attacks on constitutional rights? Look at the grief Clinton got for questioning the meaning of 'is'.
The main attack against Clinton seemed to be that he had 'disgraced the office of the President' by lying about an extramarital affair that had no bearing on the United States or the lives of anyone by Clinton, Monica, Hillary, and Chelsea. Meanwhile, Bush has presided over the worst presidency ever - scandal, corruption, incompetence, lying, compromises of national security, thousands of lives lost.
The question is no longer if Bush is the worst president ever - he's provided ample proof. The real question is: is 34% of our population that brain damaged to still say he is doing a good job? |
