IMPORTANT!:

This is another example of how you should not believe everything you read on the internet.

I made a big mistake. I was trying to give an accurate rendition of what I heard on the radio (To The Best of MY Knowledge), but I got it BACKWARDS!

You're supposed to sleep with your head facing SOUTH!. I was not trying to mislead anyone, I just got it A** BACKWARDS, my mistake.

Don't take my word for it this time, get it from the SOURCE, here's the link and the info:

wpr.org
(You can listen here, it is minute 24:25 to 32:55 and the important part starts at 27:00)

The experts are:

Michael and Robin Mastro, The Way of Vastu: Creating Prosperity through the Power of the Vedas (Balanced Books)

The program was:

Design Like You Give a Damn
Program 06-02-26-A Listen!

To The Best of Our Knowledge
from Wisconsin Public Radio

Rebuilding's going on in New Orleans, Sri Lanka, Kashmir, and other places devastated by natural disasters. But what kind of structures are going up? In this hour of To the Best of Our Knowledge, green architects and designers talk about building for the future. Also, a look at the latest spiritual design craze - vastu, the ancient Hindu art of home design. Think of it as yoga for your house.

SEGMENT 2:

Robin Mastro is an interior designer; Michael Mastro is an architect. They are both experts on Vastu - a Hindu philosophy for designing buildings in harmony with the universe. Their book is "The Way of Vastu." The Mastros talk with Anne Strainchamps about designing with vatsu.

Now, my sincere apologies if anyone got in trouble with their spouse if they moved the bed around last night or slept at the foot of the bed. Anyway now you know the right thing to do.

I know I should be more careful, right before I hit the post button yesterday I got this FEELING that maybe I shouldn't but Ooops, I did it anyway, kind of slipped. I think this is why the VP waited til Sunday to tell about the accident, so's he could get it right and all. The last time I posted, trying to help with the Katrina relocation problem and all, all the thanks I got was being called a racist, so I should have known better.

Anyway, I would not have found out about it if Snowshoe had not asked, so the thanks go to him (or her I don't know this person that well, sorry). I had looked on NPR and could not find a transcript, but I was so sure I wasn't delusional, of course I could be wrong about that too, anything is possible, so they say.

Now I was so full of PRIDE that here I had been sleeping in the right direction for years, now come to find out this morning I have got it wrong. In our case, there just is no way to put the bed on any wall other than the north one, and I'll be darned if I am going to sleep at the foot of the bed because the dog sleeps down there and sometimes he stinks. (most of the time actually) Anyway, there is another solution you may be interested in. It turns out the important thing is to be grounded, So I am going to get a #10 gauge roll of house wire and attach it to the bed frame, then run it out a window, luckily there is a ground stake just outside the window. If my wife gives me any lip about the wire running across the floor, I am just going to answer: "Do you want the terrorists to attack the house?"

Now regarding the WTC, if you listen to the transcript, he clearly states that the problem is that the building was SQUARED off at the top, not tapered like a tree. This shows that the Empire State Building is OK. Before I heard the replay of the show this morning, I had been speculating that perhaps it had to do with the name or function, that maybe the terrorists like the idea of EMPIRE like Islamic Empire would be good, but that WORLD TRADE would just be bad, like integrating the gap or some such bad thing, but then I got to thinking, wasn't Momad a big world trader back in his time? Anyway now we know the answer for buildings: "Don't be Square". He says those Petronas towers are a good example of the way to go. You may have seen them in a Bond flick. I got to thinking about SF, and the two biggest buildings the BofA building and the TransAmerica Pyramid. Pretty obvious, huh? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't TransAmerica up for an oscar this year? It's either that or I'm leaning towards Brokeback, cause I like Willie Nelson.
