The strategy is to make a product unessicarily complex. If that's an actual strategy companies use, then it is a losing strategy. The world is advancing at an ever greater speed. Brilliant and elegant, novel inventions will always triumph. If a company is relying on an overly cumbersome solution to thwart the competition, they will fail to hold an advantage.
