I estimate Bush will get 3 more appointment opportunities for the USSC, with at least 1 more before the 2006 elections.

The significance of the latter is due to the trend among contemporary Republicans to cave in to the domestic enemy late in their service. The sorry records of Republican governors selling out to their state bureaucracies and teachers unions, US senators opposing tax cuts and supporting the global warming fraud (not to mention breaking into tears on TV for no apparent reason) only begins the list of Republican political failures of the last several years.

A someone who believes the Bush presidency so far has advanced the American economy, national security, and cultural rebirth by amazing leaps and bounds, CYBERKEN is still leary of what road Bush will choose after the last election on which he will have any impact (2006). I hope he is one Republican who can lead by retaining his conservative principles, but we will see soon enough when we see his USSC nominations AFTER this November...
