I've no experience with oil stocks --- but more experience in Kazakhstan and CIS than Strobe Talbott. I was in Almaty earlier in the month and well-placed friends with more oil-deposit-knowledge than I inclined me to take the company seriously. I lurked the aipn thread andf kept one eye open... but reading about Wooddy made me buy. (It's absolutely and completely these visceral/anecdotal reasons.) I'm back in Almaty right now on other business. Be sure I'll ask around and try to get hard facts.... now that I'm in for a little I will. My stake is a measely few 1000; since last week, based on the news. Thanks for asking.... my only reason to believe is based on a very fast track Chevron guy, who I expect to be most knowledgable about the local deposit/pipeline situation in West Kazakhstan defecting from a secure golden future to take over this dump of a company. (The company I last founded handled all satellite/terrestrial coms in Western Kazakhstan, including Chevron... the "street word" about Wooddy's competence is unanimously, glaringly, high.)
