On a Gann box, I use wave 2 for start and use auto settings looking for a 1, 10, 100, 5, 50, 30, 40, 20, depending on data source. I don't try to fit the box, I usually can reduce chart with arrows so that I am able to find the first 4.
Proving the wave 3 is a good techique. MOB should be set a Primary or major pivot only. The power of fib retracement/ extention is a tool that one should work with in reference to pages t-33 to t-44. Page t-32 is in caps for a good reason.
use the standard cci for short term OB/OS, I suggest 13.
XLT is also a prime tool. I use 34 setting. I set channels at 2.62 and 1.62
