The GOP has little chance of retaining congress. It would take a miracle for them to do so. They are behind at least 10% nationally and Bush is so unpopular that anything they agree with him on can be held against them. Also, huge-huge widespread corruption throughout the GOP rightwing, but the democrats are clean. Add to that the general fury, frustration and need for CHANGE and you should put your money on 35 rightwing congressmen being vanquished. But GOP moderates will keep their jobs and some will vote with democrats until Bush is gone. The senate should end up tied. but a few GOP moderates will vote with democrats much of the time. Democrats should pick up 4-5 seats. Guys like Santorum are goners. Once Democrats take congress, Bush-Cheney qill be impeached very quickly. Give them 4 months. Bush-Cheney have proved themselvea a criminal administration and there is plenty of hard evidence. They're also very inept and very unpopular. The most unpopular since Nixon during Watergate. Their base doesn't even like them anymore. So few people will stick up for them.
