Think back six years, and try to remember. No "Patriot Act," no 'terrorism,' no Iraq and Afghanistan wars, no Osama bin Laden, no Homeland Security bureaucracy, no goons to make grandma take her shoes off before she can board a plane, no wiretaps, stronger dollars, dollar a gallon cheaper gas and diesel, and the list can go on and on. Just try to remember what it was like before George W. Bush took office, and began a spending spree which has increased the national debt by 50%. Remember the World Trade Centers? Remember Iraq, when it was run by Saddam, and everything and everyone worked? Remember the thousands of dead Americans? Remember the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis? Remember Iraq and the mid-east before it became polluted with depleted uranium ammo and bombs? Remember when Halliburton was an unknown name?
Does Dubya run the country or Cheyney? Do the politicos deserve to stay in office who voted to let the Iraq mess to go forward? Should any Congressman or Senator stay in office after they vote to renew the patriot Act today? Is Bush actually the vice President and Cheyney the acting President? Bush goes to India to try to convince the Indians to sign the non-proliferation act, which so far they have refused to do. Why? So we can sell them uranium! Of course they have the atomic bomb and have demonstrated it, as has Pakistan. We are not afraid of them, but will go to war with Iran? Does anything coming out of D.C. make any sense? They suck us dry with taxes on everything, and produce nothing but wars, regulations, snooping, debased currency, and potential martial law if they succeed in creating another 'incident.' Wasn't the entire 9/11 thing an inside job? Does a thinking person really believe a huge plane hit the Pentagon, piloted by an Arab with a few hours experience, and leaving no plane parts to see? Does any thinking person really believe that the World Trade Centers came down because they were hit by planes, when the fires were out within minutes and hundreds of quotes by firemen and others say they heard multiple explosions before the buildings came down on their own footprint? Could any pip-squeak Arab with a few hours of flying instruction have flown those two huge planes into the World Trade Centers? Would American pilots have given up their cockpits for this, or be killed rather than do this? Who flew the planes then? Why did World Trade Center #7 go down all by itself with no plane hitting it?
Is the entire Bush II Presidency either a total fraud, gigantic conspiracy, or one with evil intent? I don't know, but as I lay in bed this morning, thinking about what America was like before Bush II, I got the shivers. The entire Muslim world hates us, plus billions of others, and who can blame them? Our manufacturing is done in China, and even information on banking or credit cards is answered in India and the Philippines. Our dollar is collapsing, we owe everyone, and those who buy our debt are doing it less and less, to minimize the impact. The $51 trillion in debts can never be repaid, and how can the United States of America continue much longer? I mean it! How can we continue to exist for another hundred years, when we make little, have enormous debts, and depend on others to keep us afloat? I do not know. The trouble is, I can think of no place to go. Is there any way to change this? I am re-registering libertarian, but it will not change anything. I am doing it because I am now ashamed to be a Republican, that's all. No column I write, nor any other columnist can change things. The D.C. Gang is in control, is driving us all off the cliff, and all we can do is protect ourselves with gold and silver, be debt free, and arm ourselves. I can think of nothing else to do.
