Qualcomm must have held some sort of MediaFLO day for Japanese journalists because there are multiple articles at two different newspapers that cover it today.

The most interesting slides are on 802.20 (I've never seen these before). They claim a 260Mbps DL and 60Mbps UL speed using 20MHz channels....as well as 3x the network capacity of WiMAX. The timetable for a 802.20 rollout is the beginning of '08 with multimode (3G/802.20) deployments in '09.

I think that the article that earlier stated that Qualcomm would be announcing new 802.20 chipsets at CTIA is going to be right. I cant wait to see what Qualcomm has up its sleeve next :-).
