"Let me ask you a question: Do you think it's right that the Republicans shut out the Democrats from participating in conference committees when tweaking out the final details of legislation? Democrats, when they held power, never did that to Republicans. Isn't that a form of stiffling debate? You bet it is! Now, let me ask you further: Is that prejudice" YES they did all the time. What are you a kid. Don't you remember the repubs complaining about this from 1960 to 1990. It was one of the reasons I became a republican in 1968. I guess the NY times and CBS never reported it.
