We pretty much are a dictatorship. The best example is the fact that nothing could have stopped Bush from attacking Iraq in 2003. Not the American, not Congress, nothing. What really compounds this problem is the fact that Bush has a sympathetic Congress. I mean, he hasn't vetoed ONE bill during the past 5 years! At least a Democratic Congress would bring us back closer to our Democratic traditions, as we'd have some real political disagreements for a change, instead of a rubberstamp legislature, which is typical of dictatorships.

We are a dictatorship of the stupid, because there aren't enough rich folks to elect someone like Bush, you need a nation of morons to put him over the top.
