Your "birds fly" comment was just smart a$$.

Flying specifically to the islands in the Bahamas that have flamingos when the closest case is in Niger or Italy would seem a stretch. Then again, the bird flu may have have been in that population of flamingos for some time, is possible. Maybe they just never tested for it.
