It looked to me that Intel has more processor capacity than chipset capacity. And apparently 3rd parties are reluctant to bail out Intel with chipsets. Reason being is that Intel is intent on taking that business in-house, and 3rd party chipset makers don't want to be stuck with excess capacity six months from now.

Apparently chipsets are made in older fabs, and those will not be freed up from processors for another quarter.

Meanwhile, AMD will make hay while the sun shines. But that will come to an end in q3.
