David, today's DBC tech report quoted him as follows:

"A lot of people don't like to talk about anything else, but [DSPs] are only about a third of their semiconductor mix. If you look at the other parts of their mix, for the most part their not doing very well."

DBC also reported he disagrees w/ TI's estimate of DSP market growth at 40% and sees it coming in closer to 20%. DBC also picked up a few comments from him yesterday in their reporting of the Dan Niles earnings revision. Suffice it to say, he wasn't holding anything back.

I would assume that when he talks about "other parts of their mix", he's talking primarily about their DRAM business. I'm with him in terms of being a DRAM bear, but I don't know what else he's seeing in terms of other non-DSP, non-DRAM products.

Tomorrow was probably going to be a little nuts already due to triple witching. Now you have a stock that went from an intraday low of about 123 5/8 last Friday, to 139 1/4 yesterday on the heels of comments out of Robbie Stephens/Niles, and gave some back today on the BBH/Milton downgrade. So much for the "efficient market".

Good trading,

Tom (still short)
