Certain right wing elements will try to frame this in the most embarrassing way possible for the Clintons.

Just as certain left wing elements will absolve them.

The problem the Clintons will have is their usual problem.....the facts. There is a great deal of publicly available evidence of Bill Clinton's very profitable links to the Emirates since at least 2002. Hillary's denying any knowledge of them is utterly incredible. Since her honesty and integrity have always been an issue, she's going to pay a political price for that gaffe. She should have admitted knowing of them, as she surely does, then pointed to her opposition to the sale as evidence that whatever bacon Bill is bringing home from the Emirates is irrelevant to her stance against them. In other words, the swag did not influence her. She didn't ask for my advice, however, which is for sale to the highest bidder. vbg

Unfotunately, the swag did influence her, but in a curious way. I think that if Bill had not been schmoozing with sheiks and taking their petrobucks, she probably would have reached what appears increasingly to be the the appropriate stance, that the sale is no big deal from a security standpoint.

She does not do well under pressure, IMO.
