Hey, I'm all for joking and often will be satirical but I don't see anything funny about someone facing life in prison for a white collar crime. As I mentioned before, seeing minor drug dealers in the same situation creates empathy no matter how one feels about the crime. If I had been advising him, FWIW, I think he should have testified, shown himself to be a person who is human and who accepts the consequences of his own acts, etc. He could have brought up many of the things that others have claimed here, that he was misled, etc.

His legal team had their own reasons for what they did and it's easy to look back and have 20-20 hindsight. The trend today in big name cases seems to be to keep the defendant off the stand. I think juries like to see that defendants are not demons so I disagree with that strategy. With the exception of the California celebrity cases, I think we've seen that it's better to face the jury and tell them the truth. Actually, it is more correct to say that the result couldn't be worse. But what happens is the second guessing that we see and a lot of the discussion has been because of decisions of the defense team and it's almost impossible to get a reversal based on an argument that an attorney has been ineffective in representation.

rrufff, you are taking posts far too seriously. Lighten up...and have fun.
