Ted, Here is a two bit terrorist elevated to the status of a major world power by the world's only superpower.

By Bush, or by the fact that the two tallest skyscrapers in New York City came crashing down along w/ 3,000 innocent lives?

Yes, by Bush. Stop hiding behind your artifice and naiveté.

9/11 was a terrible event but pales in comparison to what has gone on in the Congo for the past ten years; Burma; Iraq; Sri Lanka; Afghanistan; in the Lebanon of the 1980s; in Europe under Hitler; in the conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians for the past 50 years; and between the Prots and the Catholics in Northern Ireland. There are much worse events in this world and there will be much worse events in the future.

I repeat......OSL was a penny ante terrorist until Bush elevated him to the level of a significant world figure and a cause célèbre among Muslims.

The worse mistake was electing an ideologue like Bush to office. Now we are in serious trouble......for the next 100 years, the rest of the people in the world are going to be looking for ways to contain American power. We have proven that we don't handle a lot of power well. The extent of the disaster is not clear. Hopefully, it will not be as bad as I see it.
