Generex to File for Canada Insulin OK Friday March 3, 9:58 am ET Generex to File for Canadian Approval of Oral Insulin Spray Following Meeting NEW YORK (AP) -- Drug developer Generex Biotechnology Corp. said Friday that it has a clear idea on how to go about getting Canadian marketing approval for its oral insulin spray after talking to regulators. The company said that it recently met with the regulatory affairs division of Health Canada's biologics directorate to discuss strategies on how to submit its marketing application for its Oral-lyn oral insulin spray for the treatment of diabetes. Generex expects that the filing for Canadian approval will help it with filings with U.S. and European regulators. Shares of Generex rose 8 cents, or 3.6 percent, to $2.30 in morning trading on the Nasdaq. Over the past 52 weeks, shares have climbed from a low of 51 cents last April to a high of $2.75 on Feb. 27, and have more than doubled in value since the start of the year.
