That's the lamest excuse that I have ever heard! "He would have done it anyway so I voted for it!" May be at some point in the future he will vote against it after having voted for it? ;-)

Pick a congressional fight? When? How about when the Patriot Act renewal came up -- at a time when the Katrina video came to light, when the Dubai ports deal issue is brewing, when Iraq is erupting into a new dimension of the already raging civil war and when the illegal wiretapping issue is still alive?

Kerry and many of his Democratic colleagues are truly and utterly disgusting.
