With the rush to privatize everything by this administration, even if it means selling the ports to a UAE state owned company, wouldn't it be smarter to keep these jobs and the profits here in the US?

The reason that the UAE is clamoring to buy these ports is that there is a lot of money to be made. Seems that a US company would want to operate these ports too. Where are they?

Even if there are no US companies willing to run the ports, then the government should create a company to run them. If we can't have the confidence to invest in our own ports then we're screwed. If the UAE can wholly own a company to run our ports, why can't the US government invest in ourselves?
