If he keeps his temper and stays smart, I reckon McCain would win 55-60% of the vote against Hillary and probably 350-400 electoral votes.

Anyone who comes to the table with 40%+ negatives, especially in the swing states, is several steps behind the more moderate frontrunners at this point.

I vaguely recall some poll data I posted to that effect long ago.
