that's easy, Daw's gets to keep the cash and didn't have to go thru an expensive trial, and didn't have to testify.

He doesn't need a deterrent cause he won't get out of jail broke and he kept his integrity unlike others in the case who lied thru their teeth to try and save their hides. Daws is a straight up guy and whatever his sentence, I feel bad for him.

for the record, I believe Mr. Daws thought he had a very good case and would probably not have been convicted in a normal trial environment. However this was anything but normal and his guilty plea was probably more a business decision than an admission of guilt.

Just my opinion...........
