Eh?

If someone, or some company, is incompetent, or doesn't want to even try for foreign business... well, that's on THEM. Surely.

But that isn't anything I was talking about. What I wrote about were situations of overtly unfair competition, for example where foreign companies operate from closed markets that American firms are not allowed to compete in (such as the 'oil bidness' in Mexico, or in many Middle Eastern countries)... or where companies are actually OWNED by governments (any number of examples... the UAE, China, etc., etc.) and may benefit from special supports (financial, structural) that private enterprises may not be able to match....

Of course not. I would certainly be against that. Why do you suggest it?
