Skeeter, I saw an article in the EBN stating Micron has a RAMBUS license. They are predicting a mid 98 release of SLDRAM. They don't need much cash for designing these parts. A couple of designers can't be more than $200k a year. Once the winner is declared then they can just release which ever design wins into the FAB. Add 6 months to year for fabrication and debug and there you have your next generation DRAM! So they would only be, say 9 months behind the trend. Sound familiar ;-) DDR is Samsung's baby, they should let them battle Intel over that one. I would love to see those two giants fight over the next generation, actually love to see Samsung crush Intel like a bug. Meg S. p.s.
