You're right - I've read some articles the past few days and they seem to think that there are 2 pluses for COVAD DVW

1) Verizon - may want to grab DVW for relatively small purchase price.

2) Less competition among the traditional phone co's and therefore everyone can keep from price wars and pressure on margins.
