I can prove Bush-Cheney were in on the Enron gouging. And anyone who denies it has their head in the sand strictly for partisan denial purposes.
1) The gouging began the week Bush-Cheney were first nominated, securing the first all-big energy ticket in US political history
2) Bush-CHeney were both continually asked about the gouging and how to solve it. They both lied and said it was merely "market driven" and the fault of democrats with "no energy policy". Cheney said we needed 1350 new power plants, to be built by Halliburton types at tax-payer expense.
3) Enron was running Bush-Cheney campaign operations out of Etheir headquarters. They hired Bush religious right coordinator Ralph Reed as an "{energy consultant" for 150 K and gave Bush-Cheney's campaign free use of their private jets, plus anything else they wanted. Rove was very instrumental in getting all these big freebies.
4) When Enron was busted Bush-Cheney said nothing except to make a move to distance themselves from Ken Lay, Bush dishonestly claiming he hardly knew the guy, who Lay was his #1 supporter of all time and a close friend. Bushies have dragged their feet on this case for five years. Finally, justice is beginning to happen. But Bush never returned the 1.5 million he got from Enron and Lay. Many others did.
5) The Enron type gouging included all the inner circle of Bush-Cheney friendly energy companies in collusion, mainly from Texas. James Baker was also involved. The energy trader tapes heard in the movie "Enron" brag about how much more they can gouge once Bush is in power and Lay is his secretary of treasury or energy.
6) Just days after Bush-Cheney and industry spokesmen warned of longterm energy shortages, Jeffords suddenly switched parties giving Democrats subpoena powers. Instantly there was an enery glut and prices plummeted.
7) Also, I spoke to a California State Senator once, a democrat, and asked him who was behind the Enron energy gouging. He said it wasn't just Enron and the like, it was the GOP in a coup attempt against Grey Davis, a man they feared in 2004, and Arnold was recruited to sneak into office after they ruined Davis. Proof was they used the same PR slickster, Ed Gillespie, both to hide the truth and to blame the crimes on the victims. Bush soon promoted Ed Gillespie to head his RNC. Gillespie should be in prison, but heading Bush's party. |
