Bush's only boast is that his economy is OK. But that's a hollow boast, because anyone, and I mean anyone, can create at least a modest boom with three TRILLION in deficit spending in 5 years and the Fed lowering interest rates to almost ZERO.

There are other dishonesties in Bush's self-congratulatory assessment of his economy. It's good for the rich only. Wages are flat or worse. Job security stinks. Health care cost is up 50% under Bush. More and more jobs are fleeing the country and Bush is promoting that (see his speech in India). And Bush has absolutely no plan for paying off his record-ridiculous high deficits. No plan at all.

All Bush knows is that when the bill comes, he'll be gone, so leave it to the next guy to raise taxes or slash Social Security and Medicare.
