Actually i learned a little bit from that song. Was so utopian, it made me realize that before we could ever reach nirvana we had to make the world we live in a better place. And for me that starts with capitalism not socialism. If 500 years from now, we live in a world of abundance, not scarcity and at peace, then we may have a shot at that dream. I dont think Lennon meant to unilaterally throw it all away for his utopia unless and until the bad guys did first. Its like the jews waiting for the messiah that never comes. We keep hoping.
