We had a friend who became the home for wayward pets. She started with riding horses. Someone found a pair of pygmy goats abandoned, she adopted them. Then she adopted a pair of miniature donkeys under similar circumstances. Next she decided to acquire three llamas. A pot belied pig had bitten some stupid children at the zoo. Her horses had bee scared of cattle so she bought a steer. She had her own private petting zoo. Eventually her husband divorced her and she had to find homes for them, and sell the property. My wife found homes for a couple of them. It was hilarious seeing the goats make a climbing feature out of anything they could get a leg up on.
