I have seen only Crash, and I might wait on the others until they're out of the New Release rack at our video store.

I see your point on the ensemble cast, which is always a good thing in the movies.

You are seeing characters transcend themselves; I saw characters acting against their true nature, which I interpreted to be very unlikely. I hope I'm wrong in Matt Dillon's character's case and right in the case of his partner.

As you recall, the partner gave Dillon a hard time for good reasons, and then killed a hitchhiker and hid the body.

I usually like Sandra Bullock, but I have no recollection of her story in Crash at all. Maybe I just wasn't paying attention.

Please don't be offended by my opinion. My tastes in movies are rather simple. I like to see men and women beating the odds to triumph over evil, or their own flaws. Open Range is a good example of what I like.
