Harvard was founded as a theology school as well. One of the long ago family was one of the founders.

If these schools want to continue to remain private, and rely on absolutely ZERO government money, I see no reason why they would have to have military recruiters on campus. But ZERO government money, for any project of any kind, means just that, ZERO government money.
