Waht is all the fuss about your self claimed "USA to sit on Chen Shui-bian"?. That is just verbal exercises among all the players.
Chen (chnaged every second) and his supporters (their minds changed every three minutes) are just playing chess with all parties. They are desperate to keep themseleves in political power. Taiwanese in general just lived their normal lives as usual. The whole world still buys competitive products from Taiwan and their overseas companies including China, USA, HK, etc.. Is there any difference?
USA gov. just did not want to deal with barbaric CCP. They have enough other matters to deal with. USA knows CCP will complain. Taiwan Independent groups have only verbal guts to keep them in power. Taiwan itself is still a lot more independent than your self claimed country - HK. What is all the fuss.
Barbaric CCP just want to have more money in their National Travel Bureau (government owned travel agencies arranged trips for US citizens visiting China and CCP officials to visit USA and other places). They can use gov. funds to visit and have fun in Disneyland, Universal Studio, etc. They are still in power and with more money in use that they never dreamed about in their CCP career. Life is good except issuing some verbal warning exercises to others about CCP's existence.

Any sensible businessman will do that, will you not? It is just like you choose to stay in HK instead of China. Are you sure CCP have that much power? I thought you already were aware the more CCP involved in Taiwan politics the more likely Taiwanese will stay away from the so called "One China" dream.
Let me put in this way. If Taiwanese decided not to choose DDP and Chen, they will still never choose CCP in any way. Make sure CCP are quite in Taiwan politics and stop lying to themselevs, its own people and the world. That one China dream may come true some day.
Unless barbaric CCP are indeed barbaric again, try to rape Taiwan in front of the world. I want to see the result of your previous claimed possible quick stint on Taiwan helping CCP more or messing up CCP more.

You can obtain Taiwan papers now if you want to. It is some China papers you may not be able to read. :-) I guess it is in you and your advisers' dream about "a collector's item and such". The worst Taiwan can be is like your current HK. And you are so happy with it. :-)
You will definitely see more democratic CCP than ever due to internal and external pressures. It is all good for you unless CCP are indeed barbaric. Do you think CCP are truly a barbaric party. Or as you implied, CCP are getting tamer each day?
