Pixar Animation Studios Reports Most Profitable Year Ever in 2005, Despite Drop in 4Q Earnings

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- In what is likely its last report as a public company, Pixar Animation Studios Inc. said Tuesday it had its most profitable year ever...

In January, Pixar agreed to be acquired by The Walt Disney Co. in an all-stock deal valued at $7.4 billion.

Any details as to the merger deal? Was there a collar or floor on the deal? The deal was originally for 2.3x disney shares, so at $26, that's about $60. Now that it's at $28, that's $64.4. Seems like the market cap today with the share price above $64 is over $7.6 billion already. Disney shares have gone up about 12% since the deal. It's possible that the deal closes above $8 billion when is all said and done if there's no ceiling as the current price seems to indicate and disney stock keeps gaining.
