Eracer:

Name one standard CD-ROM that has 800MB on it. The only ones that could are beyond any standard size having over 90min on them. Most CD burners can't handle that size. So its not a valid test, but what else is new. Intel couldn't make a straight benchmark, if their life depended on it. You have to take a ton of salt with anything they had their mitts on. They are like MS doing benching Windows against a Linux box, it just smells rotten.

PS: Conroe shouldn't need special software to work. A64/FX/X2 doesn't. If it was good enough for FX60 to use a 2003 Phoenix BIOS (shown in screen shot), then Conroe should have used a 2003 Phoenix BIOS. The same with video drivers. It should have been a well known flavor of ATI Official drivers used in both boxes, not some special knockoff.
