Wow!

I am really interested in this.

If you asked me 10 mins ago what my next upgrade would be, I would have said AMD regardless of chipset, CPU type etc.

But if this holds true, then Intel could well be getting my money.

This sounds too good to be true. Seems like the rumors were right, as seen in some threads @ Futuremark not long ago.

God, and I was really ready to buy an AMD 64 X2 4400, Asus A8N SLI Premium, 2GB Corsair, ATI X1900XT, Western Digital Raptor X 150GB, HDA X-Plosion 7.1 soundcard, OCZ Powerstream 520 to build my new system...

Conroe seems very promising. I never had an AMD cpu and I wanted my next upgrade to be AMD, but guess it'll be Intel again .

Damn

I haven't bought Intel since my 800 MHz P3, yet I've been through 3 XP's.
IF this is true, which I am a little hesitant since it's Intel provided /setup systems, then I may not be going X2 like I had planned. I've waited this long with my 2600+, I can keep waiting for Conroe.
