Re: And you would have the board believe you are still long AMD? Please.

AMD's future will not change based on my past/present/future investments or comments about AMD. I am out of AMD now.

Actually my previous comments about AMD momentum are starting to look rather positive in light of the Conroe benchmarks. <<<IF>>> the Conroe benchmarks are accurate and <<<if>>> revision F only results in a 10% performance gain, I don't see any big positives for the longs in late 2006, 2007 or 2008. Even if the benchmarks aren't completely accurate they will be somewhat damaging to AMD's share price in the short term unless AMD responds soon.

<<<If>>> the benchmarks are accurate and <<<if>>> Intel doesn't fumble on the Conroe/Merom/Woodcrest launches I can see a situation similar to 2000/2001 for 2006/2007 where AMD made roughly $800 million in 2000 excluding a one-time sale, then followed up with a minor loss the next year. That sent the share price tumbling from $48.50 in the middle of 2000 to $10 by mid 2002.
