re: "I think a lot of people in Israel are USA emigrants, so they'd just be going back where they came from. There are some people from NZ who went to Israel and I'm sure they can come back here....The dopey Zionist idea has caused a lot of trouble. There are no chosen people and to claim a "right of return" from 2000 years ago is crazy."

I'm sure that NZ is a nice place and all. The thing is, the Jews in Israel don't want to live in NZ. Jews have been coming back to the Holy Land since the Turks ran the region. They want to live in Israel. And because of their experience living under white Christian Europeans, and Moslem Arabs (who have kicked a million or so Jews out of Arab countries) they want to live in Israel, and they want the country to be run by Jews. Nothing is going to force them out. It would be more logical to kick everyone out of New Zealand, (sending everyone back to their "homelands") and offer New Zealand to the Arabs in trade for Israel - providing of course, the Palestinians would accept the territories of New Zealand. Seeing as how everyone from New Zealand is a relatively recent immigrant anyway - both Polynesian or European. :o)
