He sounds like a conspiracy theorist dragging every possible explanation out of the woodwork no matter how unlikely it may be.

He throws all credibility to the breeze when he drags in Tom's Hardware benchmarks from a review which no doubt used completely different of benchmark settings as an explanation why the FX-60 system was benching so low.

Though this isn’t exactly conclusive, if you go back and re-read some old FX-57 reviews on Tom’s Hardware you’ll see a benchmark for the same game set at the same resolution, the FX-57 running at 2.8GHz scored 183.4fps. The funny thing is it’s using an Nvidia Geforce 6800 GT which seems to me that something is totally wrong here.

Pathetic. Several reviews which use Unreal Tournament 2004 and video cards at least as good as what was in that Tom's article show framerates well under 100 FPS for FX-55+ type hardware.
He "forgot" to mention those.
