<<The Democrats are stuck with what they have.>> <<You say that the Democrats might split their party into pieces. That, to me, would be really dumb. To abandon a damaged, but not sinking ship, like the Democrat Party, and go into shark infested waters wouldn't work.>>
That assumes that the rank and file Democrats are as foaming-at-the-mouth rabid as Anderson, Rose, AS, Phillipps, etc. If the so-called "base" (the hard left and race-manipulation interests) composed the whole party, it might not qualify for the ballot in the majority of states.
The rank and file may or may not be a majority of the party today, but they already realize that they are not being represented, indeed they are being ignored, if not held in contempt. These are people who are Democrats because their parents were, or their community has "always" been Democrat. The Republicans have been picking them up for years, and many others have switched to "independent". But if the party continues to lose the rest of them, it's over for them. The hard left can raise money, but not get votes. The race manipulators can fabricate votes, but the states they victimize are getting more diligent in the continuing wake of 2000.
My own prediction is that the Dems will eventually give the traitors, atheists, and racists their walking papers (and create at least a PLACE for the pro-lifers), and begin again competing for the pro-American community.
The Republicans, OTOH, may destroy themselves if they don't embrace the emerging Hispanic middle class. If the Dems actually CAN become pro-American once again, those Hispanics may gravitate to it instead (or simply away from conservative and populist anti-Hispanic racism.)
And actually, a pro-American non-socialist and non-atheistic Democrat party MIGHT prove preferrable to what some Republicans are trying to make of their party... |
