Sounds like justification to me. "I can't change it, so I'm going to exploit it just like the scumbags do." Myself, I like to make a buck as much as the next guy. I just don't have the ability, or at least the desire, to get it by screwing somebody else out of their money by blowing sunshine up their arse and leaving them holding the bag.

Even if they are the minority, there are legitimate nano's out there that have a good product, service or concept and need capital. I want those people to succeed. I want to make a boatload of money helping them do it. And, I'm willing to do the "real" DD to accomplish that.

Additionally, I will do what I can to take back the market from the scammers and give it back to the legitimate companies looking for capital. Not every innovation comes from someone with money or the contacts to get large amounts of capital. Let's promote the use of this market for its intended purpose.

As to your 1-4's:

1. I don't think we have to be on the inside of the SEC to apply pressure to change the rules. We just need to use all currently-available means to apply pressure, including #2.

2. I know someone who has successfully pushed legislation to change a law and they are neither rich nor part of a large lobby. It took a lot of time and a heck of a lot of effort to do it. You have to get the word out and get as many people as possible on board. I think we can do that with the group we are creating here if enough people will participate.

3. If enough people would follow the rules Creede et al are forming on the TF board I think it could make a difference. If these same people put some effort into 1 and 2 as well...we might get somewhere.

4. If you are comfortable with telling others "this thing is gonna fly" when you know the company has no substance and is nothing but a scam so you can dump your stock, then do nothing. If you are uncomfortable with it, do something about it.

On your second 1-4:

1. The tone of your post would tend to support this statement as your position. It doesn't seem like you are very interested in changing the way the pennies operate.

2. The crooks may have more money on a 1:1 basis, but I believe that we outnumber them by a sufficient margin to be able to bring more money to bare on the problem than they can muster.

3. As long as enough people believe it will never happen, and therefore do nothing to help make it happen, you are probably right.

4. At the moment, I doubt it. Prove me wrong...or not.

I am currently trying to find a direction for my own DD site and this discussion is pushing me toward focusing on reformation more than strict DD.
